CHALLENGES qFinancial challenges. qInadequate commitment due to the other tight schedules by other BBU staff except the few. qWe don’t have the owned office of BBU instead we are co-hosted by CESCRA. q99% of the staff at BBU are volunteers. qCommunication is still challenging among the team. qMany activities that we are supposed to conduct but BBU is still incapacitated by financial constraint. qBBU is still lacking competent staff in other departments like IT to help with the IT work.

LESSONS LEARNT qBBU capacity for financial mobilization for the running of the organization is still inadequate. qAll the team affiliated to BBU are not demonstrating commitment towards a shared responsibility in pushing the work for BBU along side other commitments. qOur visibility is not well represented in the digital presence due to Lack of the IT personality to handle the digital work despite the various numbers of the social media platforms that BBU already have in existence.

RECOMMENDATIONS qBoard members should really help the BBU Team with financial resources. qNeed to resource mobilize for the sustainability of the organization qBBU board members should help on behalf of team members develop a robust fundraising strategy. qBBU board members should help a lot in looking for potential donors for the purpose of acquiring the funds. qThe team for BBU should collectively put efforts into the writing of a grant proposal in case any opportunities come across.
